Over 6,000 people took their own life in the UK in 2015.
Most people who die by suicide are not in contact with mental health services - they are right here in our community.
We developed the one 90 minute Real Talk session with real people in the community to help them talk openly and honestly about what is one of the most taboo subjects in the world today.
In fact, talking about suicide is the best way we know to prevent suicide.
We know this is something that people find hard to talk about. So Real Talk offers an opportunity for people to gain the skills and confidence in talking about suicide and to start feeling comfortable with the language and the feelings that come up.
This takes courage – courage that we all have.
Real Talk makes it easier for you to help start conversations. Conversations that could quite literally make the difference between life and death.
This is a 90 minute session, generally held at lunch time or in the evening to make attending easier. We regularly run Real Talk sessions in Brighton & Hove that anyone can book onto. Please check our list of upcoming courses and make a booking by clicking the Eventbrite link below.
This is a cost-effective workshop for up to 15 people, run in your own venue. Two facilitators lead the Real Talk session, which lasts 90 minutes plus set-up and tear-down time. Please contact us at email@example.com for a quote, available dates or more information.
