Grassroots Suicide Prevention seeks a Senior Marketing Officer

£27,741 (NJC Pay Scale SO 1)

30 hours per week – flexible working

Fixed Term Contract 12 Months

Application Deadline: Sunday 11th July, Midnight

Grassroots is a UK leader in suicide prevention. We work to keep people safe from suicide by putting people and their communities at the centre of our work. Since 2006, we have helped communities become ready and able to effectively support someone at risk of suicide, experiencing a mental health problem, or someone who self-harms. We create safe spaces to talk about suicide and support people in developing the skills and confidence they need to save lives.

Our training, anti-stigma campaigns, and innovative tools and projects save lives by enabling conversations and human connections that really make a difference. We work to fight the stigma that surrounds suicide, mental health and self-harm and encourage people to seek help.

Purpose of the job:

At Grassroots, we plan to support more people by growing and diversifying our fundraised income and making sure the right people hear about and understand what we do. As part of this ambition, we are hiring a Senior Marketing Officer to join our growing team. They will help drive awareness of our work, educate key stakeholders, and generate income through donations and sales.

The postholder will lead our digital marketing and be responsible for the day to day running of our social media, websites, emails, and paid advertising. They will work alongside the Fundraising & Communications team to grow donations and awareness through campaigns, develop new fundraising opportunities, and build strong relationships with our supporters.

This role requires someone with experience of creating and delivering creative multi-channel campaigns, a strong technical background, and knowledge of digital analytics to enable us to plan and develop relevant KPIs. They will understand how to increase both social media audience participation and website traffic, ideally within a digital fundraising environment.

It is a highly collaborative role, requiring input and support into wider teams in the organisation. The postholder will contribute significantly to a new Fundraising & Communications plan through audience segmentation and competitor analysis.
